Mid-Am Get together?

I will be at the US Mid Am at the Honors Course and Black Creek Sept. 7-11, at least, hopefully longer. Anyone else? How about dinner, a few libations, and some GCA talk?

Best date for me is probably Thursday Sept 8.

I can't make it to Chattanooga but we should put together another trip next year for Pine Needles.

We should try and stack the field at The Pines Needles four ball in march...Jamie already plays there, and I was supposed to last year until my partner withdrew.
We should team up as a bunch of gca teams and have a great weekend of competing/talking/drinking.....

It would be  a great early spring get together..good luck to all at the mid-am , wish I was there but have to work some of the time >:(

I will throw out two ideas, for meeting, etc.

1)    If Thursday,   meet at Lookout Mountain GC and eat their Thursday evening fried chicken buffet at 6 pm or so.   Gaze upon the redan hole, eat southern fried chicken.  This would have to be on Thursday night, about 6 pm.

2)   Otherwise,  meet at the Bluff View area, on the river, near but just north of the Aquarium, and eat at Tony's pasta shop.  Nice home-made pasta, bread, etc.

Two excellent suggestions. Tony's for local flavor, or the redan to stimulate good conversation? Let's let it sit for a few days and see if we get more responses, then make a plan.

Tourist oriented...unfortunately

Honestly,

I have no idea of my upcoming schedule, but living not too terribly far from Chattanooga, I sure might be interested if there is anything slated.

Lookout Mountain fried chicken is the ticket and I will co-host with John. Just need to know who's coming.
And, poor Chicagoans, just 1 mile from Chicago Golf Club is a great take-out only pizza joint of the Chicago type, Gianorio's, with Chattanooga connections. Try it and see. I had a deep dish at the Walker Cup, and it weighed 15 pounds! Unbelievable!
We know our pasta, too.

I can second that the "Fried Chicken Dinner" is the bomb at Lookout Mtn !!!!!

Don't forget, The Farm, just a mere 30 minutes south, will be hosting The US Senior Amateur the week after The US Mid Am at the Honors and Black Creek......

Yes. I've made necessary arrangements. 6 pm at the Lookout clubhouse.

Hey Guys,

If you'll be around over the weekend, please say hello.  I'll be playing a practice round at Black Creek on Thursday around 10:00 am.  Friday at The Honors Course- 10:50 am.

My qualifying round times are:

Sat- The Honors Course, 8:40
Sun- Black Creek, 1:10

I look forward to meeting some of you.  Have fun...
