I was thinking 4 things--

1) The intro scene to High Plains Drifter when Clint comes out of the shimmering desert riding on his horse.

2) If buffalo were going to come over the horizon

3) If I was in heaven or on the moon.

4) Visualizing a draw.  I wound up hitting a huge drive that Scott Burroughs surpassed with a 320yd bomb..

thanks to Neil Regan for taking that picture.. It is my screen saver and many people in my office now know that Nebraska is God's country and who Bill Coore is.

I'd be thinking to hit a draw, and checking my watch to see if I could fit in 54.

Why can I see the roof of the maintenance building?

Tom,
Thats a bathroom. Good eyes though to pick that up.

I'm thinking lets go left and play some cross country golf.

Look higher, and to the right. That's some kind of crazy bathroom!

Ed:

No, the large reflective surface middle-right of the picture (in the dunes above the right side of the fourth fairway) is the roof of the maintenance building.  It was supposed to be hidden by the dunes, but they missed.

I don't know if it was that long, but I still made bogey.  :-[

Did I unplug the toaster?

That got the biggest audible yuks[TM] from me.

I won't say this one was on purpose, but I did drop one in and hit from there in a previous round.

I didn't notice the maintenance shed while playing, but every time I see a pic of #4 from behind the tees, its the first thing my eye is drawn to. :-\  What I was thinking was, "Hmm in the morning round I managed to drive it about 40 yds short and right of the green from the square tees, where do I aim from back here".  Turns-out with a much weaker tailwind, the right-side fairway trap was a good target.

Cheers,

I'd be wondering how cool it would be if my other three playing partners were Childs, Naffer and Kavanaugh.
