Been contemplating a trip out there, but I have to say a 4 day visit could cost about the same as a trip to the British Isles.

Somehow I think that is not entirely coincidence. The Bandon prices have seemed to increase pretty much in proportion to the higher exchange rate between the GBP and USD. I think they intend Bandon and Scotland to be directly-comparable alternatives for Matt Ward's "core golfer" to consider.
