So, I (only very) slightly joked over on that other thread that TD was spending some time at the HCEG today possibly discussing developing their glorious dune landscape for a second course. Tom, very gallantly, suggested that while that wasn’t the reason for his visit, rather interestingly commented that they’re not entirely unopposed to the notion.
What say us? Should the HCEG forge ahead with what could be the FINEST new course in Scotland for many years or should they just concentrate on maintaining and preserving their undeniable current masterpiece? Just for fun, please throw in your uninformed or massively biased opinion.
Enquiring minds need to know.

Where did Tom say they weren’t unopposed to the notion in that thread?

I don’t know what thread you are referring to. But the HCEG have been musing over this for years and years.

Ken Moodie routed/designed another nine holes for the club some 25 to 30 years ago. Can't recall/don't know whether any of the land to be used for that routing was taken by Renaissance for their new holes/tees. I'm not sure they have enough land left to do 18 well laid out holes but I do like the idea of a quirky/sporty nine hole course.
