Design by ____? A search here did not name a name/s. The club's website and The Architects of Golf are silent. On Carrickmines Hill: the Story of Carrickmines Golf Club 1900-2000 (Pigeonhouse, 2000) is sold out.

Built by committee in 1900 - very much built as a lot of rock was blasted away.


Seems that N.M.Hone (the first Hon Sec) was primarily responsible for the design although Andrew Armstrong and W.H.Wilson (who leased the land) seem to have also been heavily involved.


Noticeable also that James McKenna (of Lahinch fame when it was originally laid out) was hired as the first pro.
