Adaptive golf semi OT
« on: October 16, 2024, 12:01:46 PM »
Worked an adaptive golf event yesterday on an old Flynn design. About half the bunkers were GUR for wheelchair players due to the inability of getting into the bunker. Going forward do any of you arch folks think as the game gets more inclusive to those with physical limits will some designs change? Should they?  Will they?  Just a question.
We have a pool and a pond, the pond would be good for you.

I want to bump this, I think it's a really interesting question. I can see the inherent problems with sand (in general) and adaptive golf. I'd hope they'd be able to cap smaller GUR bunkers with solid barriers. I selfishly want this solution as a way to see a (long desired by me) high-shot hazard finally be tried, normalized, and eventually embraced.
