Suggestions on a course that would be good to play if one had a summer home in the area?

Thanks as always.

How much do you want to spend on your golf? You can spend as much as you want around there.

Ha, I have a place on the West Shore.  I don't play much at Tahoe, but my choice when I do is Clear Creek which is on the other side of the lake but worth the drive.  Another GCAer who is slightly north of Tahoe City would say the same thing.  We both know the same CC member.

Closer to Truckee, Martis Camp.

I suppose the answer depends on if you are looking at private clubs vs. daily fee courses.

Either other than rumored Martis Camp costs.

Thanks.

There are some really high end publics like Old Greenwood, Gray’s Crossing, Coyote Moon, etc. Tahoe Mountain club is a combination of Greenwood and Gray’s and worth checking out. It’s an area where it seems like you could do very well without joining a private club if you didn’t want to.

You really can't go wrong with any of the courses mentioned but my favorite is Coyote Moon. Northstar is actually very fun, meadow front with ponds and creeks, backside is wooded with changes in elevation. Tahoe Donner is very fun tree lined with elevation changes and is usually the least crowded. Incline Village exec and championship are very fun tree lined with changes in elevation. 8)
I love golf, the fightin irish, and beautiful women depending on the season and availability.

Clear Creek, a C&C design, is very enjoyable.
