I hate when an architect pardons a single tree like it’s a Presidential turkey.

Thanks for posting these amazing photos, Padraig.  I enjoyed your photo tour of the South Course at Te Arai as well.  I'm thinking of visiting New Zealand for the first time in December 2023 and early January of 2024.  What an inspiring location for golf.

I left several groups of trees but they have cut most of them down to replace them with natives.  The one tree between 7 and 18 is a native.

Rube photographers need somewhere to point. The lone tree is an emotional trigger. No one at fault.

Just found out a buddy (who only recently took up golf) is playing there in a couple weeks as a guest of Mrs. Crenshaw. No idea how they know each other, as my buddy is a motor racing announcer.

Padraig,

Thank you for sharing these photos and congrats on what looks like an amazing trip.  The photo tours of golf courses/golf trips and some of the dialogue around the courses are one of the only reasons I come back to GCA.  I know they take some time to put together so thank you for taking the time.  Tara Iti looks absolutely stunning.

Thanks Padraig,

Shane
