Southern Hills holes of cross
« on: May 17, 2022, 11:44:07 PM »
If the new back tees are used: 13 plays over 12 green : 6 plays over 3 tee; 7 plays over 6 green; 1 and 10 cross at the tee. Seems some potential for delay, but tight courses seem to have jam spots even with no crossing. Not sure any of these back tees make the holes better so why build it in the first place?

I had the same question. Is the extra 400 to 500 yards worth the hassle of delays and dangers of cross overs? If somebody shoots 16 under instead of 20 under par does it really make a difference if all the participants play the same course? I have no idea what Phil shot last year.
I love golf, the fightin irish, and beautiful women depending on the season and availability.
