A terrific listen for those trying to understand the strategic history of Augusta National .

Good interview.  Gil is so well spoken it's easy to see why he gets so many jobs.

At the beginning he says Augusta would not be a good candidate for a restoration.  I found that interesting.  I've always felt that if they restored anything, the Mackenzie bunkering style would improve the course.

He also talks about the contributions that Perry Maxwell made to the course, especially the new green on 10 and the brilliance to leave the Mackenzie bunker in the fairway.

Lastly, the 14th green which Crenshaw called possibly the greatest green in the world and Gil marvels at the right side tie in and how brilliant it is.
