The opportunity to see a nascent course is one that I simply won't pass up. My memory is erratic, like having a thousand balloons floating around my head, descending in unpredictable order and chronology. Perhaps that's why I took up the photography. My walk around a part of The Lido was breathtaking. Knowing what was to come, what we might be able to play in a few years (should we be fortunate enough to return) had me tearing up, and it wasn't the wind or sand.
One of my compas stood on a way-unfinished putting surface. He dragged his foot a fit and said, I just made a contour! I laughed and nodded, responding You'll influence golfers for centuries now.
I don't know about you, but that's as cool as golf gets.
