Sky Sports is reporting fires at Wentworth. Seems to be mostly on the perimeter of the property at this point, but still significant enough to report.

Not just Wentworth. The entire area between Wentworth West and Sunningdale is on fire. Flames already up to the edge of the 15th on the New. Fingers crossed they get it under control.

Time to turn on the sprinklers. A wet golf course is a nice fire-break.

Sunningdale was quite lucky. As stated, the fire was extremely close to the 15th hole on the New course. The only damage was to the green and tee box from the fire engines (who, thankfully, arrived on scene within 5 minutes of the call).
