Harry Busson

Inspired by the thread about NLE equipment, I around the WWW to learn a bit about persimmon woods (I forget which ones I played in the 70s and 80s). The name Harry Busson came up as one of the great custom club makers. He sounds like he was a fascinating man.


Anyone ever own one of his drivers?

I got to meet Mr. Busson at Walton Heath in the 1980's.  My friend Ken Macpherson had succeeded him as the club's professional, but the club still provided a small separate shop for Mr. Busson to continue his clubmaking work.


Very nice man.  Seemed very humble in our limited interaction.

There was one of his Drivers for sale on eBay-UK yesterday. Whether it’s still available I’ll let others check.
