Interesting that the current bunkers and tongues of rough are roughly in the same place as from the original....but the aesthetic has morphed from a wild, rambunctious dunes look to a fully coiffed manicured look.  And today, all that rough!  The original looks like golf-in-the-wild, on a beach; the contemporary like any old park course that's been thrust out onto a promontory.   


If nothing else, and given the style of major restorations such as at Pinehurst #2, makes me think a similar type restoration would be very much of the moment and could be very well accepted.

David, The odds of the PBC coming to that intelligent conclusion are long.


 Their default position is more closely aligned with the Egos in Georgia than those is Pinehurst.


Thomas, Two of those pictures of #7 appear to be decades apart. Do you know the dates on each photo?
