Where does 16 at Sheshan (WGC site this week in China) fit in amongst the very good drivable par-4's? It's listed at 288 yards, short enough that it's really hard for a pro to lay up, but a lot of them get in trouble around the green.

I was very surprised when everyone in the last group hit irons off the tee. Perhaps 288 is just not a good number for today’s Tour Pros; to short for driver or 3 wood, sounds like a perfect 5 wood though. I recall Tiger laid up at 14 on Torrey in the US Open when they played it from the ladies tee on Sunday; he later said he didn’t have a club for that distance.
