Dan,

Love the concept.  They could call it "Bandons 11"...for the double entendre effect.

I'd call any 11 hole course Yo 'Lev!

These types of courses are the future of the game.
I propose the course be called the "The Revolution!" and here is the logo and flag design. At the conclusion of the 11th hole all players will be encouraged to chant in unison "Viva La Revolution!"

Unfortunately, construction of the par-3 course has been put off, and won't happen this coming winter.

I'm sorry to learn this, but perhaps Bandon's loss will be Ballydoak's gain.

Was there any more news on this?  It's a tricky thing to search for since it never had a name.

So far I've been excited by all the modern par 3 courses, but have been stymied by their popularity and haven't actually played one.  Adding more capacity seemed like it would have worked well in this case.

I doubt this course will ever happen.  When they realized that if they built it, they would have to turn over all the profits to charity - because it is in the same environmental preserve as Bandon Preserve - they started thinking harder about tearing up The Sheep Ranch instead.

The layout was much different than the Preserve - it had several really testing holes that would have fit on any of the big courses - so it would have had a different kind of appeal.

Charity by force.  Lovely.

It did appear to be a beautiful piece of land for golf.
