Langford does some of this at Lawsonia -- in particular, he hits you at #'s 6, 7, and 8 with three true target greens, where missing the green is a significant penalty, and it's all there to see; it's obvious what you have to do. Then he dials it back with a lay-of-the-land green at the dogleg par 5 9th, that is hidden from view from the golfer going for the green in two. A nice curve ball in the middle of the round.
