Occam's Razor
« on: October 27, 2017, 10:41:12 AM »
What's happened to Bill McBride?  We never met, but I wanted to, as with many people on the site, Bob Crosby, Bob Huntley (sadly, too late), and so many more.  It happens when you are going to die soon. I hope not, but the odds are bad.  I'm probably in that demographic.  An athlete in my youth, I swaggered my though my world and thought myself invincible.  Dead wrong, none of us are.  I'm not that screwed up, as near as that as I can tell, but could easily drop dead tomorrow.  Bill come back.  Enough for now. we need you,
you

Hi Dave,

Bill is still around, healthy and kicking it on the Florida Panhandle, while fighting the good fight for truth, justice and the American way.

I can act as facilitator; let me know via private message if I can help arrange something.

I didn't know Bill was off the site, I hope that's not the case. Hopefully he'll be contributing for a good long while yet. I've been lucky enough to meet up with quite a few visitors to this country who post on here and Bill is one of the best. Hope to see him back here some time soon.

Thanks guys. I’ve been involved with some health issues, encroaching old age and a lack of many interesting things to say. Thanks for thinking of me, I have made so many great, long time friends here.

My Uncle Bill has always been the hypothesis with the least assumptions and that’s what I love most about him.

Good to hear your voice again, Bill.  Glad to hear you are doing well, although I understand only too well health issues.  As if I didn't know what a golf nerd I am, I injured myself and couldn't play, yet still have gone out a couple of times with my buddies just to socialize while they play.  Can you imagine any other activity where you spend a couple of hours watching incompetent people doing something badly?  I think we are similar ages, so I imagine we are increasingly familiar with friends going away.  Sorry I over reacted.  We need folks like you on this site, although some time away is probably a mentally healthy thing, like an addict getting sober for awhile.

Dave,
Have been in contact with Bill and will bump into his son tomorrow.
I stopped by for a few minutes on Monday but you weren't on property. I did make a minor purchase to help your profit line. Didn't have more time because that day's route was Portland to West Yellowstone.
Hope you heal up.

Ach Dave,

Absence makes the heart grow fonder!

And I had noticed his absence mind.

Cheers Colin
