Rolling Hills CC, CA re-do set to begin construction June 1. Architect is DMK

Looks like this long rumored effort is finally ready to go. Construction start scheduled for June 1, 2015 on an 18 month $60 million project to include course and clubhouse. It is said to be "fully funded". Kidd is the architect and in an interview on the club website he says the presence of the sand quarry as part of the 200 acre site is what convinced him to sign on. Clearly the key is whether they can sell over 100 lots/homes as part of the  deal. Hope they get it done, but will believe it when someone hits the first drive on the completed golf course: http://rhccvision.com/

Very excited to finally see this happen!  This has the potential to go from one of my least favorite courses in L.A. to one of the best.

Sounds like they are taking something like a small version of Firestone and turning it into Bandon Dunes.  If this turns out well, maybe other clubs will do the same?  Assuming they can raise tens of millions of dollars, that is.
