Bill,

Well said.

Another aspect of a restoration is preventing future changes.

In general, I've opposed changes to a golf course because of my fear of the "Domino" effect.

Once succeeding Committees and Boards see that work was previously done on the course, it becomes "open season" for future changes.

So where does change for change's sake stop ?

The truth is, that despite the best intentions, preventing change in the future is next to impossible, but, you do the best you can to protect the golf course.
