  Glad to see you made it home okay.You got a chance to see me hyperventilate about the trees they took down on #12 and the ones they did not.
 BTW i received an email today from a member  at RG to whom i had given our aerial photo cd .He had turned  it into a pdf file to make it easier to transmit.The more people know the better off we will be.Just another small victory.

Mike,

You have enormous passion for RG and it is easy to see why.  The course is terrific.  I am very happy I was able to play with someone who knew every inch of the course as it is today and so much of the history of the past.  With members like yourself pushing for the removal of trees that are blocking the original Flynn stategies I don't think RG will remain a hidden gem for long.  

IMHO, Flynn is probably the next architect due for a coming out party - with the Open at Shinnecock in nine months and the Paul/Morrison book to follow there could/should be a Raynor-like revival of interest and attention to his courses.  

Mike - get some orange spray paint and mark som etrees tonight!!

From the elevated tee:  Bite off as much as you can chew down the right side.   I hit on an aggresive line and I got luck!  Ended up over mound on the right.  Second shot should be 180-200 yds. down the left side (unless it is windy).  I perfer the elevated nine iron (maybe wedge) over any shot in the game.  This way give you a birdie chance, but par is a good score from the back.  Great thing about the hole is that a foursome could all go different routes, and make them work!
