While many of the top 50 clubs in the US have undergone tree removal programs, the same cannot be said for their post-1950 counterparts.
My theory is...it is much harder for a course without the prerequisite pedigree to see the benefit, thus many grow more confined year over year.
When you or I carefully present 'evidence' from an educated and rationale viewpoint, we are lambasted as 'tree-haters', and (often) become club pariahs.
