Another former European Tour regular. The course was altered a little when that major road was cut through it.

Built by an architect who was notably active just after WWII including the restoration of a Major venue.

It is definitely a Mackenzie Ross course. It also shares its name with a famous Formula 1 circuit which is no longer on the F1 calendar but its used for winter training. The front nine is south of the pic and the back nine is across the road on the east side going through a valley/woodland area.

Tony, Yes, it is PM Ross, but it's Estoril in Portugal. It hosted the Portuguese Open for many years, despite being only 5700 yards in length. It was one of the gazetteer courses in the early editions of World Atlas of Golf.

Has anyone played Estoril then?

EIGCA have just announced it as venue for next year's AGM along with Oitavos Dunes....

Ally, I've only been to Lisbon but I enjoyed the place and the salt cod.
