Woking...Fast and Firm
« on: July 29, 2013, 03:15:28 PM »
Played Woking today for the first time since March and the course played great, fast and firm from tee to green.  I have not had the time to play other courses in the area, but  I imagine giventhe nice summer these conditions can be found around London.

The new 16th hole will, probably not be used until next year given the current hole is dry and playing well

It's even fast and firm up here in the traditionally wet north-west. Wonderfully running fairways and the need to land the ball 30 yards short of the green and run it in from there. Bliss!

Play with a few folk who've recently put their hybrids/rescue clubs back in the locker and the long irons back in the bag. I have as well. Firm and fast and bouncy, can't beat it, especially when the wind get's up.
