O/T: First Tee Open @ Pebble Beach
« on: July 16, 2013, 06:02:04 PM »
One of my varsity kids just received word that he will play the First Tee Open in September. Since I've never played the course, I'd love to get some inside info for him. If you have the time to answer a spate of questions, please PM me here on GCA. Thank you in advance. I'll hang up and listen.

The greens are small.  Really small.

The hill on 6 is big.

The green on 14 is difficult to hold.

Know your yardages on 8 tee.

The rest is straight forward.

Ask not what GolfClubAtlas can do for you; ask what you can do for GolfClubAtlas.

To me the hardest shots to trust are the line of tee shots on 11 and 16. Neither is very difficult but in my probably 20 rounds there over the years those are still uncomfortable to me.I don't get left enough on either one.

Ronald ,

Get hold of Adam Clayman, he knows more about Pebble than anyone on the site.
