On the high end of things, every Discovery Land property I've been to has had a top tier halfway houses. The one at the turn at El Dorado overlooking the Pacific Ocean was particularly stunning. Now, if only the golf architecture was on the same level
Just a few weeks ago I played Hillcrest CC in LA and the modern architecture halfway house at 5 tee/8 tee/15 tee was stunning. The golf was great too!
Of the more humble stature, I agree with Tom, Chicago GC with the Ritz crackers/peanut butter and rocking chairs in the shadow of the Short is perfection.
