On the high end of things, every Discovery Land property I've been to has had a top tier halfway houses. The one at the turn at El Dorado overlooking the Pacific Ocean was particularly stunning. Now, if only the golf architecture was on the same level  ::)

Just a few weeks ago I played Hillcrest CC in LA and the modern architecture halfway house at 5 tee/8 tee/15 tee was stunning. The golf was great too!

Of the more humble stature, I agree with Tom, Chicago GC with the Ritz crackers/peanut butter and rocking chairs in the shadow of the Short is perfection.

MPCC Shore Course.  Dreaming of retiring in Monterey within walking distance of that hut so I can enjoy those views over a cup of coffee even when I'm not playing.

Love the hut at Orinda, it has a real charm to it (as does Orinda).

Mayfield Country Club outside of Cleveland has a lovely halfway house, old style brick like many of the houses that surround the course. The best feature …..a cookie jar with ginger snaps in them!

Every good club should have ginger snaps at the halfway house.

A possible nod to Davie Anderson's Ginger Beer? Maybe I'm reading a bit too much into it.

As great as that boathouse is, don’t forget the greenhouse between the 7th and 8th!

I also love the hut at Shoreacres between the 6th and 7th and again between the 14th and 15th.

I was going to nominate the Ardfin boathouse too. A welcome respite on a fierce, chill day. It was a wrench to leave after a fine lunch.

Sunningdale is the one that jumps to mind. The boathouse at Ardfin is a pretty good spot too. It falls between the 11th and 12th holes and with the fire raging and whisky in hand, can take some encouragement to leave.

Robin, Scott,

Was the course too brutal to take you back outside? It’s Top-100 in the world, don’t you know? You shouldn’t even be stopping in the hut if the golf is that good!

There's plenty enough encouragement in what lies ahead, for me anyway  ;)

Diamante Dunes in Cabo had a great one after the 10th hole I think. Mini chimichangas and tacos. TD, Pebble usually has a cart  with everything on the 9th or 10th fairway. But you have to watch your food like a hawk because the Seagulls will steal you blind. :o
I love golf, the fightin irish, and beautiful women depending on the season and availability.
