My friends in Charlottesville think that getting past the easement issues will be extremely difficult. I'm interested to see what tax issues would arise if he were able to get the changes in them that he needs for the golf course. Would someone have to pay back the tax benefits that were granted as a result of the easement?

On the other hand, Donald did get the course in Scotland built.

No Birdwood is NW of town close to Farmington and The Boars Head Inn, while the Kluge Estate is SE of town close to Monticello and Brown's Mountain.

Why spend the money to build when there are plenty of really good courses to be had for quite a bit less than replacement value?

Mr. Trump is anything but stupid & is certainly a prudent real estate investor.
