Mac,

The Pines sits on the Snake Canyon in the Sand Hills of Nebraska. A score of 5.96 is bashing in every sense of the word. I would rather play the Pines at The Prairie Club than any other course in Illinois or Indiana. The score is a reflection of how it compares to Sand Hills not where it sits in the golfing world. That is the flaw in the system.

How did you like the Dunes Course? I loved the Pines Course and agree with you 100%

I like the Dunes more than the Pines. I thought the Horse was a donkey.

Don't be negative, The Horse is fun.

Patrick,

I love free golf no matter how much it costs me.

I learned my lesson in Las Vegas early.

It's cheaper to pay for your room, food and golf than to gamble in an attempt to justify being comped.

It's like sex for money and sex for love.  Sex for love always costs more than sex for money. ;D

There's no real point in evaluating Streamsong as a destination resort until the hotel etc. is finished. Evaluating the golf is one thing, but the amenities will prove important when making comparisons.

It's already fantastic - the rooms above the pro shop/restaurant are exceptional.  The game room, restaurants and outside fire pit are already way beyond what I expected.

Streamsong will only get better - it's a no brainer home-run.

I can't wait to see Streamsong.

Sounds like they did everything right from the start.

Are fire pits the new destination golf course must-have?

It has more to do with it being illegal or immoral to smoke indoors.
