I played this course 1 week after the first televised tournament, 20-3- years ago. I hated the course. It is so visually intimidating, that I shot my highest round ever and vows never to return.

I like watching it on television, especially 16,17 and 18 as one could finished eagle, birdie, eagle or double, double, double just as easily or worse.

I hit 6 balls in the water on 17 on my first outing in a gail, 2 with and 8 iron short, 2 with a 7 iron shot, and 2 with a 6 iron, both of those hit the center of the green and bounced in the water in the rear.

I ran out of balls, so I went to my wife's bag, and she said to me "what do you expect from the next 6?", so I sat down and drove the cart away. When we finished, I asked the assistant pro in the clubhouse what the record was for that hole and he said 18 and I said I thought it would be higher. He replied that was the number of players who backed up on the green to read their putts, who fell backwards into the water since the course opened.

I don't know if they still have alligators there.

There is no relief off the tee, and the greens reject balls not hit to the correct spots. Ugly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Live Jupiter, Fl, was  4 handicap, played top 100 US, top 75 World. Great memories, no longer play, 4 back surgeries. I don't miss a lot of things about golf, life is simpler with out it. I miss my 60 degree wedge shots, don't miss nasty weather, icing, back spasms. Last course I played was Augusta

Haven't they toned it down?
