My Annual Peninsular Praisefest
« on: February 09, 2012, 05:08:37 PM »
There's not much to cheer about in Scotland in february golforotherwise, so getting to see Pebble and the peninsula is such a treat.
The reminders of a wonderful week there meeting great GCAers - who have gone on to become very good friends - and the incredible luck of playing some special places with some special people will stay with me as long as I live.
Thanks, Monterey, thanks GCA and thanks friends!
FBD.
The White River runs dark through the heart of the Town,
Washed the people coal-black from the hole in the ground.

As with your annual peninsular praisefest, many will follow with the also annual cries for:

1.  More TV coverage of MPCC Shore
2.  Less TV coverage of the hack amateurs
3.  Less TV coverage of the hack Hollywood Entertainers
4.  Those demanding that Cypress Point get back in the rotation of courses
5.  Scenery / views do not matter when evaluating GCA

Charlie Wi has a chance to go 59 at Shore Course.

Who can already hear the next green committee meeting snippets?

**Edit**

Wi misses likely ends with 60.

IMo, The greens at The Shore are designed for excessive speeds, that will rarely challenge the best in the world, in wintertime conditions..

First we do some Soarin @ Disneyland:

Next we bring in Mr Spaulding for the long drive contest. We have a tentative date to play a Doak 4-5 in Orange County for July 3rd if there are any GCA takers!

Next, he will teach me in the ways of Orange County Cougars:

Team Sweeney then heads off to Paskowitz Surf Camp to surf with our buddy Izzy:

3 days and 2 nights with the wife and kids SLEEPING on the beach and surfing!!

PS. I really do love California and the July 3rd date is real pending the logistics of the Spaulding family.
