Delray Beach Golf - Friday Feb 10th
« on: February 08, 2012, 11:47:07 AM »
hi All,

Anybody want to play golf on friday around 7am?

I am going to be playing at Roy Case's Park Ridge GC in Lake Worth, FL on Friday morning. I am going to tee off at 7am ish (currently i am a single so can't book a tee time but i will if I get a couple of people join me).

I have played the course before and found it very enjoyable. It was built on an old rubbish dump, so it has some elevation changes.
http://www.golfclubatlas.com/forum/index.php/topic,28386.0.html - here is a link to a previous discussion entry on the course. It is a muni course and i have not played it in a number of years so i can't vouch for its condition.

PM if you are interested.

Mark-You might want to switch gears and think about Delray Beach Golf Club which is city owned and has a Donald Ross pedigree. Plenty of bang for your buck and I doubt you will get bored. Just a thought.

I was actually bored playing Delray Beach GC. It was very flat. I'd rather play Park Ridge as it's much more interesting. It's a rare course in that area without housing and with elevation.

I'm with Steve, I preferred PR to DB. DB has a couple of good short par-4s but overall is not great.

Conditioning at PR when I played it 3 weeks ago was pretty rough.

I much preferred West Palm Beach Muni, about 15 min north, to either of them.

President CC in West Palm is also decent and now accepting public play.
