Gordon Stollery ,the owner of Angus Glen and Goodwood courses has unfortunately passed away.

His contribution to the restoration of Askernish Golf Course was immense and his humour and enthusiasm will be sadly missed.

Not too sure Mac.

Our Canadian life members have just been sending me emails informing us of his passing.

A lovely man who fell in love with Askernish and South Uist when he first visited. He was due to come back next summer to compete for the "Gordon Stollery trophy" which we play for annually.

I was just going to post a link to Lorne Rubenstein's article, but I see Ralph already has done so.

This is tragic, very sad news. I know a lot about Mr. Stollery but didn't know he contributed to the restoration of Akernish. Very interesting, and another feather in the cap of a very accomplished man.
