Martin

Thanks for this.

The photo and aeriel aren't on the same plane....re the apparent shifts.

My photo of the blue/red plan is slightly distorted in perspective (barrel lens distortion) and not cropped squarely (see in relation to the frame).

So the shifts in say the 6th (7th and 8th) green aren't real:  the terrain is too severe to have the 6th shifted to the right (as played): half of the fairway would be hanging off a small cliff.

Also the 5th green can't be in the valley.

For the blue/red plan the contours really show the full picture of where the holes were planned.

Also, The plan may not be flat in the frame..there's a strong crease down its center.

I have a much more detailed copy of that blue/red plan and I might be able to re-distort (fix) my photo such that the train tracks match the modern aerail.

FBD, could you number the holes on the aerial?

If so, grazie!

I don't get it?

If you look at #1, it's almost straight.  Are you saying that was how it was built or designed?

I guess I haven't been following but was is the red/blue line?

I would assume on the drawing that the holes were as wide as the lines drawn. If so, it looks likeevery hole at PV is quite abit narrower than it used to be. Some are half as wide. Is that right?
