Yet Another AOTD

This one is a modern course in an urban area and it ain't near here for many of us.  The architect certainly seems to have maintained a uniformity in the style of the bunkers.

Does it have the word "Lake" in its name?

No "Lake" in its name, although there are plenty of those on the property.  It is surrounded by rivers on the south and north, making it part of an island.  Hence its name includes the word "Island".

It is in one of the 20 largest cities in the world.

It is private, while its country is not.

What does it mean for a country not to be private?

It is Jade Island International in Beijing, designed by Tony Cashmore of Australia.  You get a very nice aerial view from 1,000 feet coming in for landing at runway 36R at Beijing's airport.  From the air it looks lush and American.
