« on: March 30, 2011, 05:52:44 PM »
After a quiet winter, Rich Goodale has resumed blogging at: http://richmusings.blogspot.com/

Some interesting comments from his recent trip to Bandon for the King's Putter!

Jim,
I think that you're selling your comrades short...I didn't find his writing style (nor his vocabulary) to be dense at all.

Ron,

It has nothing to do with density, sometimes he sprinkles his writing wiith a few distinctly Irish/British words, like "Hooley",  "Gormless", and "Craic".

When was the last time you saw those words in print?  ;)

Thanks much for the heads-up, David.  I enjoyed Rich very much when he was here -- but I think I enjoy him even more on his own blog, where he seem more willing or more able to stretch out and really provide some detailed analysis. I just read the first two articles so far...and his views on/explanations of the four Bandon courses and the experience in general were very very good.

I had but a few minutes with Rich at Bandon- he having ditched our only match- and was not impressed with his mood.  Perhaps rather than "musing" on a blog, he should go on here and really tell it like it is.  Or is it like at Bandon that he is not finding much of interest here to stimulate him?
