Has The PGA Tour Jumped the Shark.....

on the courses and their design features that they are holding some tournaments?

Versus the modern move toward more "natural" looking courses....

Take this weeks match play. In my opinion, the course is the most un-natural looking thing I have ever seen. Acres and acres of overseeded hyper green rye with dormant bunkers collars, set against the desert brown.

It just looks.....fake.....

As do a lot of other PGA tour courses, even classic courses in the lineup tend to come out too perfect given today's high def technology.

Has today's move toward f and f and natural combined with HDTV made tour stops look ...terrible?

Well, Pebble Beach and Rivera looked pretty sweet on TV.

Remember - WGC events (this is NOT a PGA TOUR event) go wherever they get the most money.

yup.  there are always 10-15 courses that are used because they are selling real estate, etc.  i think the US tours venues are on the whole better than the Euro tour's.
