I'd like to warn anyone thinking of googling the thread title while at work or sitting with small children to refrain from doing so! ;D

I say Trump about Trump National or whatever they call it today?
Golf history can be quite interesting if you just let your favorite legends go and allow the truth to take you where it will.

I thought I recognized that, but didn't remember that I wrote it.

Glad I didn't post my first thought on the subject, which was along the lines of:  "Why, when good golf writing is contributed by an obvious pervert, does everyone's mind automatically go to Gib?"  ;)

Tom,
How long had you been away from home when you wrote that?

Shivas,
First place I saw Paul Lynde was on The Perry Como Show. My Italian mother loved the King of Cardigans, and no one cracked her up like Paul Lynde.

Jim Kennedy,

My half Irish, half-Dutch, all Baptist mother loved Paul Lynde, as well.

What was it about a flamboyantly gay, acerbic comedian who could bring Catholics and Protestants together in mutual mirth?

The whole reformation could probably have been averted had Lynde been born a few centuries prior.
