There's no stain on Mac, there's only people not quite understanding his larger point, much like many people don't understand your larger point either, John. I wouldn't call that a stain on you, simply a misunderstanding.

Fwiw, the access issue has always been difficult on here. Plenty of people who get upset about it have their own avenues of access that they don't seem to have a problem with, nor do they have a problem using those avenues for friends. Somehow, people's views of access change depending on the person. I think people tend to view access because of love of architecture in a different way than access to cross off another top whatever course on someone's list; I'm not sure that's a bad thing, however.

There are problems in the golf industry, there are problems on this site, and there a problems in the US and in the world in general. All in all, the problems on here tend to be the smallest of the above. A little perspective is all that's needed.

Have a nice day, everyone.

JC,
I'm hurt Wolf Point didn't make your cut. I was looking forward to telling you no...unless Hancock invited you.

Hancock dumped me for you last summer and he rarely calls me anymore to see how I am.  He used to love my soft lawyer hands, now he must have changed his fancy.
I get it, you are mad at the world because you are an adult caddie and few people take you seriously.

Excellent spellers usually lack any vision or common sense.

I know plenty of courses that are in the red, and they are killing it.

I want to say something that occurred to me while driving to pick up my son last night.  Before someone starts another stupid off topic joke thread they need to take into consideration that the addictive nature of these pissing matches may cost someone their life.  It's not me, as hitting a cow or stray hay bail will most likely just cause minor damage to my truck.  It's people like the guy who called me yesterday because he was reading this thread while driving, that same guy who is loved by all and cherishes his little bucket full of joy.  I don't know what it is but architectural threads always seem to be able to wait, its the mindless OT that makes great and sometimes responding while driving fodder.

Next time you decide to start another joke consider the innocent people who may be hurt.  I see the software on this site recognizes posts from cell phones, perhaps the moderators can disable the ability to accept posts to protect the driving public from amateur architects turned comedians.

note to JC:  Can you believe your load of crap ended up staining a good man like Mac, proud of yourself?

Stop projecting your own inadequacies on the rest of us.

George,

You are right.  The worst of the access-seeker is usually the most vocal against it.  Until they get caught in a bathroom in the Minneapolis airport.....

Tim,

Make no mistake...he's serious. Though the part about Mac is only speculative at best and is likely incorrect.

Eric-I was afraid of that. As far as Mac goes the guy just seems like aces to me. If there is a guy on this site with more enthusiasm and honesty than Mac please clue me in as to who that might be. If I had his passion for learning i would have done a lot better in school.

First off, Tim thanks!  That was really nice to say.  I had intended this post to be purely funny, but I couldn't let that last comment of yours pass without acknowledging it.  Thanks!

Secondly, I totally blame JC for this...and all the "ills" on this website.  He is a true troublemaker.

Regarding the "stain" comment.  I truly hope that I am not stained for asking questions, offering opinions, and, generally, just being myself.  But if I am indeed stained, so be it.  I learned a lot on this thread.  It is like my Platoon Sergeant said before we went into Somalia, "No stain.  No gain."

I think a lot of people have a problem with access on this site, especially those who have ponied up for a membership, because they get dozens of requests for access from people on this site who they've never interacted with.

Anthony,

You now have ten, mostly inane, threads started of the first three pages of this site.  How about giving us a break?

  I'm going to Dysney World.
