any info on Lindsey CC in Kentucky?
« on: January 05, 2011, 11:49:33 AM »
Looking over a coupla early Golf Digest Top 200 lists, there is a course called Lindsey CC in Kentucky.

I have googled it, but cannot find any info on it.  Does it still exist?  Does it just have a new name?   At one point, i thought i found a zip code of 40121 that may be connected, but am unsure.

Does anyone know anything about this course?

Cheers!

Paul,
When you say early, how early?

The Lindsey course that Davis & Nick have sent links to is on the Fort Knox army base, and I'm pretty sure has never been called a country club.  As for top 200 list, it would probably make the top 200 in Kentucky.  I think this has to be

I believe that is the course, Nick.

Thanks.

John, Golf Digests first couple lists were America's Toughest 200 courses  I believe Lindsey appeared on at least one of these lists.

Its tough when you hook a ball over the fence into the gold vault and have to worry about land mines and snipers getting you while you go after your ball :)

It's certainly possible to hit it over the fence, but at least hitting the depository building itself would require some serious misalignment.
