It's really beautiful - congratulations!

PS - Did you know that Roslyn is the town where they filmed the Northern Exposure TV show back in the 80's?  Cool little town.

Dan

It is funny that you commented on Roslyn.  I am living in a old house in the small town, too small for me.  I have lived in populated areas my whole life, and to go to this little town is a first for me.  There are not any leash laws either, so you see dogs just walking around all the time.

Peter:

Funny you should say that.  My crew just loved Roslyn.  Three of them lived above the pizza place; they used to hang out there and at the Brick.  Of course they had their own little posse with them all summer ...

Peter,

Thanks for the comprehensive photo tour; loved the multiple shots of every hole from every angle. Looks like a great place to either work or play.

Tom D,

Do you think this is your most underrated design? Those who made it to the Renaissance Cup there all thought it was excellent.

I look forward to getting back out there soon.

Sean:

Well, Rock Creek is still not in anybody's rankings, so until more people see it I would have to say that's our most underrated.  But of those which have been open longer, I would say our two most underrated courses are Tumble Creek (because of the houses, even though there aren't many) and St. Andrews Beach (because of the financial troubles they've had).  I would be perfectly happy to take a prospective client to either of those, but they get little love in the various rankings.

Stonewall gets no national exposure, either, but there are enough people from Philadelphia on Golf Club Atlas that it's gotten more than its share of publicity.  Neither of those courses makes our own top ten, but it's one of the first places I enjoy getting back to.

I am a big Stonewall fan myself as that is the course of yours I have probably played the most (Old). Stonewall was top 100 on Golf Magazine's list for a bit, as you know.

Tumble Creek is one that you don't seem to reference/talk about much, for whatever reason. That and its somewhat remote location has kept it off the radar here on GCA...

Sean L - what makes you think you'll be invited back?

Peter - thanks for the tour.  As you know, I love the place.  One day this summer I'll have to play Aldarra in the morning, then Tumble Creek in the afternoon.

I got to play Tumble Creek yesterday and loved the course.  My favorite holes were 4, 9, 11, 12 and 18.  That is a special place and also enjoyed meeting Peter.  Hopefully I will be back in Seattle next year.

Great write up and photography Peter.
