Mackie is credited with the design; I don't believe Park ever listed Canoe Brook as one of his designs.
- Some years ago when I played the second course it was before the highway system was installed. I remember the comment made by the member that major changes were in store because of the land being taken for that construction.Could this be an answer to your questuion ?Willie,No, that's when RT 24/78 were going thru both courses at Canoe Brook, the North and the South.I believe that prior to Wes Ellis doing so, that par had never been broken in competition on the old North Course.I was fortunate enough to play Canoe Brook in the 50's when both courses were intact.

FYI - Bill Quirin apparently did a history book in 2001 for the club's centennial. Perhaps it contains some information on the Park proposal.
