I have been following the thread (to the extent that I can) on North Shore, and it has caused me to think that maybe you guys can help with a request I have received.
One of the Scottish descendants of Alex and/or Frank Balfour is looking for information on their ancestor.
They seem to know that one of them was at The Creek Club at some point.
They also heard that one of them was at Lookout Mountain in the '30's, hence they contacted me.
I was able to find pictures of Arthur Balfour, who was said to have been the man who built the course, and was "associated with the design firm of the late Seth Raynor."
But the name is slightly different, being "Arthur" rather than "Alex."
Any help?
