Pine Needles Fire
« on: March 25, 2009, 11:36:42 PM »
The main lodge at Pine Needles was damaged by a fire last week. The fire started in wiring beneath the dining room which was the site of a Dixie Cup dinner a few years ago. Pro shop merchandise was a total loss.

I was at Pine Needles Saturday and the main dining room was taped off.  You had to check in at the pool house...what a shame.  The course was lovely and lots of fun.

Another story that mentions the fire and perhaps more interestingly the news that Pine Needles/ Mid Pines will be offering memberships.

Peter, Thought I'd share a corollary.
This is today's Carmel Pine Cone cover picture.
It is of an area that was decimated by fire last fall. This springs wild flowers are amazing.
