Pat,

The only reason it shouldn't have something very significant is due to the concentration of other great courses / host sites in the area.

There are a ton of opportunities though, so lets keep our fingers crossed.

Given how much the pros raved about Ridgewood, it will be very interesting to here their comments about Liberty next year. I bet they grumble. It is almost unfair to Liberty, because the pros rarely get to play an old classic Tillinghast course, so they naturally loved it. I just wonder how vocal they will be next  year when they play another "new" course.

What did you make of the rest of the course? I was lucky enough to play at Ridgewood a few years ago and all I can say is that it showed me to be the high handicapper I am. It wasn't overwhelming - I just leaked shots here, there and everywhere and it was subtle, clever and ingenious. I should say that it was a marvellous example of understatement - always a good trait in golf architecture.
