I don't know if this tool has been discussed, but Microsoft Live Maps has an amazing feature called "Birds Eye View".
Here's a URL that'll show you an aerial view of Pine Valley.

You can change compass orientation, zoom in/out, and perform other manipulations. I don't know if it'll work on Macs, but it almost certainly requires a pretty high bandwidth connection.
Try it on your own course - I found the pictures to be pretty amazing.

Pine Valley just looks absolutely tremendous. I'll have to make it out there for the Crump Cup. Every article, photo and legend of PV that I come across screams "masterpiece!"

Amen Kyle - Other than Ran's pictures here, these were the best pics of PV I've seen. Plus, you can see how it all flows together.
The whole country isn't in there, but much is.
