How to Get There
From Glasgow, drive north to Oban to catch a ferry to Lochboisdale. For a longer, more scenic route, drive to Uig on the Isle of Skye and hop a ferry to Lochmaddy, an hour’s drive north of Askernish. For ferry schedules and fares visit calmac.co.uk. A one-hour flight from Glasgow to Benbecula, just north of South Uist, is also available, via Logan Air; visit ba.com for details.
