Actually...it won't give much variation to what is presently available since it will be extremely private. Which I'm fine with. But my guess is it won't effect much of anything at other courses in Pinehurst.

Is the Pinehurst area somewhat skin to the Sand Belt of OZ in terms of terrain, topography & geology? It seems to pretty much be the St. Andrews of the U.S. and then another brand-spankin new classic inside of 5 miles? Are the options endless? Just curious...


It just seems like a nirvana of sorts... Ever any thoughts to a Dixie Cup making a stop around Pinehurst ;)

Dixie Cup II - Pine Needles, Mid-Pines, Tobacco Road.  Great stuff, great contrasts.

i am playing those same courses (plus The Pit) in several weeks on my annual Pinehurst golf trip...
