Hillbilly Architectural Elements
« on: May 01, 2008, 11:00:41 PM »
I recently played a course that featured two of our favorite architectural elements:

First, the rusted VW bug in the distance:

And, the old barn behind the green:

Anyone care to guess the architect?

Michael:

Is that an Arthur Hills design????

I may live close to this course...When searching for a property suitable to build a horse farm, my wife and I had an "abandoned bus" rule...Standing where the front porch would be, if you could see an abandoned bus, the property was unsuitable...the corollary abandoned appliance rule was also in effect.  You would be quite surprised how often these rules prevented further consideration of the real estate!  I am surprised the VW hadn't been turned into a "lovely" decorative planter.

From the land of the hillbilly (and quite happy to live here),

Surprised you didn't mention the rusty pipe.

While the rusted out VW adds an element of charm, the old barn is just an eyesore!   ;)
