Old Course Reverse Routing
« on: October 27, 2007, 04:49:09 PM »
Bill McBride wrote about a reverse routing.

Obviously, you can't just take off and play it that way. Do they have certain days when a reverse routing is used? How often do they do they do this?

Three consecutive days around March/April.

You should also check out Jeremy Glenn's "In My Opinion" piece on this topic (just look to your left... :)).  This was a speculative essay, and I'm not sure if he got all the routings exactly right, but it is a superb piece of architectural analysis.

Bill B,
we had a pretty good turn out of GCAers last year. Nobody's mentioned it so far for '08.

Here's Links Trust, em, link... ;D

Any others up for a repeat performance?

Do you get a yardage book when playing it in reverse or is it all done by eye ?

Yes, you get a book.

Just as well, FBD's eyes weren't going to well.

Actually, he didn't read too well either.

Quite frankly, I couldn't have read it worse, were it in Braille.

Had a good time though! ;)

Martin,

Thanks for the link! I would think I should play it the normal way before the reverese, right?

Just checked with the boss at home...can't go til our youngest goes away to school...so its 2011 before I can do it...

Unless I go way with the guys...
