So all this talk about switching the nines at Troon North got me to thinking about another facility with similar Loooooooooooong cart rides and strangely configured nines - Ventana Canyon.
I love the place, personally - not for the architecture, but the flora and the price. I paid $199 for 36 holes and the night at the lodge (not loews)
Now get this...You can go downstairs from your htel room to the proshop, bop out the door right to the first tee of either course and play.
Problem is...if you play the canyon course, you end at the doorstep of Loews Hotel...two miles away!
I still ove the place though.
